SalesTrip is simple to configure and customise, especially when following our best practices. Below these are broken down into recommended and required practices.

Required

1. A few picklists contain values that are necessary for the normal operation of SalesTrip. Please do not remove or change picklist values for the following fields on the Expense Object: Expense Type, Status, and Scan Type. It is okay to add new values.
2. Fields added to the 'Additional Fields' fieldset on the Expense object cannot be set as required or Expenses cannot be created.

Recommended

1. Ensure you customise object record pages to include the relevant SalesTrip actions, and components where it makes sense e.g. if you want to create expenses against a custom or standard object of your choosing ensure you have added the 'Create Expense' action and relevant related list.
2. Users should complete their SalesTrip Profiles to reduce the amount of manual data input.
