These are Release Notes for SalesTrip Engine Version 2.38, this release communicates the major new features/user stories/product improvements and defect fixes. This release upgraded features and bug will help the client to use few of the amazing features of SalesTrip - Trip and Expense Management.
What’s New
- Salestrip came up with Easy and Quick way to Extract and Export Expenses based on the user need/business requirement. These will be finally exported to Reports. Salestrip is providing 3 different options for this feature–

- One Time
- Weekly (User can extract/schedule for any day of the week based on their need)
- Monthly (User can extract/schedule for any day of the month based on their need)

- This feature will help any organisation for the Reimbursement for different users of their organisations. This feature pulls data by grouping record based on users, payment methods and currencies.
- Default Setting for Export Expense status are defined at Salestrip Settings, but user can change based on their need/business requirement, as mentioned below -
Field Name (Expense Export Status Post-Process) – Value (Extracted for Reimbursement)
Field Name (Expense Export Status to Process) – Value (Pending Reimbursement)
Field Name (Expense Export Status Post-Reimbursement) – Value (Reimbursed)
Field Name (Expense Export Report Name) – Value (Expense_Export)
Pre-requisite setup :
Pre-requisite setup that needs to be done by Salestrip Administrator for all the users who need to use this functionality.
1. Enable Permission set “SalesTrip Expense Export User”
2. Add “Expense Export Batches” tab.
Click on Setup -> Search for App Manager (Quick Find box) -> Select App Manager -> Select Salestrip and Click on Edit.
User will get the below screen, Click on Navigation Items-> Look for Expense Export Batches.
Then Add / Select and Save, as shown in the below screenshot.
Once added, it will show as Tab, shown in the below screenshot.
Steps to Execute this feature :
One Time :
Step1: Login to your Salesforce Org and Enter -> Expense Export Batches in the Quick Find Search and Select Expense Export Batches.
Step2: Click on New Button and a window pop up will appear as shown below, User need to enter Expense Export Batch Name and Schedule Type as "One Time" and Click on Save button.
Step3: It will generate Expense Exports Records. User Should go to Related section and see the Expense Exports.
Step4: Click on the Expense Export Record and user will get the below screen with the two button – “Mark as Reimbursed” and “Export to Report”.
Step5: Click on "Mark as Reimbursed" button, user will get the option to select records , based on the selection Expense records will be marked as "Reimbursed".
Step6: When user click on "Export to Report" button, this will Export the Report and user will be able to save it.
Weekly :
Step1: Login to your Salesforce Org and Enter -> Expense Export Batches in the Quick Find Search and Select Expense Export Batches.
Step2: Click on New Button and a window pop up will appear as shown below, User need to enter Expense Export Batch Name and Schedule Type as "Weekly" and Select day of the week and Click on Save button.
Step3: It will generate Expense Exports Records. User Should go to Related section and see the Expense Exports.
Step4: Click on the Expense Export Record and user will get the below screen with the two button – “Mark as Reimbursed” and “Export to Report”.
Step5: Click on "Mark as Reimbursed" button, user will get the option to select records , based on the selection Expense records will be marked as "Reimbursed".
Step6: When user click on "Export to Report" button, this will Export the Report and user will be able to save it.
Monthly :
Step1: Login to your Salesforce Org and Enter -> Expense Export Batches in the Quick Find Search and Select Expense Export Batches.
Step2: Click on New Button and a window pop up will appear as shown below, User need to enter Expense Export Batch Name and Schedule Type as "Monthly" and Should be able select Schedule Day of Month and Click on Save button.
Step3: It will generate Expense Exports Records. User Should go to Related section and see the Expense Exports.
Step4: Click on the Expense Export Record and user will get the below screen with the two button – “Mark as Reimbursed” and “Export to Report”.
Step5: Click on "Mark as Reimbursed" button, user will get the option to select records , based on the selection Expense records will be marked as "Reimbursed".
Step6: When user click on "Export to Report" button, this will Export the Report and user will be able to save it.
Note – If User want to redo the entire process, they can change Status from "Completed" to "Cancelled", and Expense Status would be changed to Pending Reimbursement and created records will be deleted.
